Venya Teas - Gift Sets

These tea cups and trays are hand-glazed ceramic tea cup sets. Inspired by the traditional Indian clay cups that have been used for centuries, these cups bring a touch of artistry and heritage. Each cup and tray hand-glazed, giving it a unique character and we believe also a timeless look. Our partner - also a female led company employs many artisans, some of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds, providing them with fair opportunities to support their families and communities. That is why we love working with them - not only because they make the beautiful designs come to life but because it's our way of supporting craftsmanship.

About Venya Teas 

Venya Teas is a female-led brand that I launched during lockdown with the support of my family—primarily my mother, which in a way, I guess makes us a mother-daughter team!  As someone coming from an Indian background,  almost every gathering starts and ends with a cup of tea, making it the centerpiece of many memorable conversations. Tea has always been something that brings people together, and growing up, my grandmother and mother both had and shared their own tea recipes for any kind of ailment - whether it was just a tummy ache or you had a cold - there was no doubt some variation of tea being blended and brewed. 

So, when we decided it was time to start a business, creating wellness teas felt like the natural choice. We had two goals in mind: first, to challenge the perception that tea is “boring” or just for older people. We wanted to show that tea doesn’t have to be just plain orange pekoe—it can be vibrant, modern, and exciting. Second, we wanted to create teas that supported health, wellness, and joy. Venya is a Sanskrit word that means "to love" or "to wish for," and that’s exactly what we aim to create—teas that people will love and wish for.

Each blend is carefully made with high-quality, loose leaf ingredients and we like to say, wish a splash of love too.

To help us bring our vision to life, we started to work with world-renowned tea sommelier Sanjay Guha from day 1. Sanjay has bene part of the tea industry for decades and has worked with major tea brands like Lipton and Twinings. With his expertise and mentorship, we created purposeful blends such as our Happy Tummy and Golden Touch, which you’ll see in stores. He has been instrumental in connecting us with tea estates from where we can source quality tea leaves and partners from whom we can source quality ingredients. As we expanded our line, Sanjay continued to guide us in developing our wellness blends. For our Hormone Balance tea, for example, he collaborated with a naturopathic doctor and a nutritionist to ensure the blend contained the right ingredients.

We also wanted to share different blends with our community - some that you may never have seen before - such as the spiced green tea that is part of the gift boxes. That tea is actually one of the oldest green tea recipes to come out of Kashmir, India! And of course, we couldn't stop and not bring on an authentic masala chai to our mix - as our way of celebrating the culture - also part of the gift boxes!

Beyond our passion for tea, we’re also committed to supporting women through every part of our business. Our entire network—from our tea and accessory partners to almost all of our suppliers—are women-owned businesses. We believe in creating opportunities and amplifying the impact of female entrepreneurs, who inspire and strengthen our journey every day. For us, it’s about sharing our love of tea with a community that values quality, wellness, and empowerment.
